Process

Every project at Verse 64 starts the same way: something in my life creates a problem or sparks an idea that won't let go.

From Problem to Prototype

When my family needed a better way to track carbs in real-time for managing type 1 diabetes, I didn't wait for someone else to build it — I created Pocket Carb. When I wanted arcade-style games that brought back the joy of simple, addictive gameplay, I built Orbit and Bloom. When stories demanded to be told, I started writing.

The process is intentionally scrappy:

  • Identify the real need — usually from personal experience or something I wish existed
  • Leverage AI tools — I use AI assistance across music production (Suno), app development, game design, and writing to move faster without sacrificing quality
  • Build the minimum viable version — get it working, test it with real people, iterate based on feedback
  • Refine until it's actually useful — polish comes after validation, not before

Faith-Shaped Work

My Christian faith isn't a marketing angle — it's the foundation that shapes how I approach creativity and problem-solving. Quality matters because people matter. Solving real problems matters because service matters. I'm not interested in building things just because I can; I want to create solutions that genuinely help.

What This Means for You

If you're exploring my work, you're seeing projects built with care, tested in the real world, and refined through actual use. Whether it's an app that tracks carbs for your family dinner, a game that gives you five minutes of flow state, or a book that keeps you up past midnight, everything here exists because someone — usually me — needed it first.
